Our impact / A documented record
Everyday care.
Documented action.
Explore the activities described in Warshin’s records—from nursery cultivation and schoolyard planting to community awareness and agricultural learning.

01 / Selected documented outputs
Figures with a year.
Activities with a context.
These selected figures refer to specific activity records. They are separate outputs, with different units and locations, and are not added together into an overall impact total.
2022 / Activity record
140
Trees planted in schoolyards
Across three schools in Qamishli’s Al-Hilaliyeh neighbourhood, in the activity reported for 30 October–1 November 2022.
Reported planting output; not a survival assessment.

2023 / Activity record
2
Fish-release activities
At Mezkift and Mashouq dams in July 2023. The activity count describes two documented releases at separate locations.
Activity count; not a measure of ecosystem recovery.

2026 / Activity record
6
Agricultural demonstration plots
Described as demonstration sites for farmers in the 2026 GIZ collaboration account at Warshin’s nursery.
Reported project output; not a measured yield or income gain.

02 / Understanding the record
Clear scope is part
of responsible reporting.
Nursery cultivation
Growing or caring for saplings at the nursery is distinct from planting trees in schoolyards, villages or parks.
Planting activities
A planting figure belongs to a specified activity and place. It does not establish long-term survival without follow-up.
Shared campaigns
A multi-organization campaign total belongs to the joint activity. Warshin’s participation is described without assigning the full total to the association.
Activities & outcomes
Implemented activities and reported outputs are distinguished from future targets and wider environmental changes that need evaluation.
03 / Milestones
A continuing record
of environmental work.
A chronological view of the association’s development and the activities documented in its reports.
2019
A local environmental beginning
Warshin was founded as an independent nonprofit environmental organization.
2022
A practical foundation
The local license was accepted. The nursery was established, alongside documented school and community environmental activities.
2023
Registration and aquatic activities
Warshin was registered in Germany, and the activity reports describe fish releases at Mezkift and Mashouq dams.
2024
Nursery care and waste awareness
The reports describe continued nursery management and waste-awareness activities in collaboration with IMPACT.
2025
Continuing community greening
The combined activity report includes further planting activities in surrounding communities.
2026
Learning about sustainable cultivation
The GIZ collaboration account describes demonstration plots and awareness sessions connected to farmers in Qamishli.
04 / Thematic stories
The places behind
the activity records.
Each story links to a detailed, editable project record with its background, activities, documented outcomes and photographic context.

2022–2024 / Nursery records
Cultivation before planting.
Established in the Qamishli countryside in 2022, the nursery connects the cultivation of forest and fruit-tree saplings with local greening. The early record describes a well and drip-irrigation network; the 2024 account describes continued nursery cultivation and management.
Nursery cultivation is recorded separately from trees planted in community spaces.

2022–2025 / Community planting
Shared spaces, shared care.
Warshin’s reports describe planting in Qamishli, surrounding villages, school grounds and neighbourhood green spaces. Some campaigns involved other organizations and local institutions, with residents and volunteers participating in practical care for these places.
Joint campaign totals are not presented as Warshin’s sole contribution.

2022 / School environmental learning
A schoolyard becomes a place to learn.
The “Environment is Life” activity account describes planting in schoolyards in Qamishli’s Al-Hilaliyeh neighbourhood in 2022. Children were invited to participate in cultivation and care for shrubs, connecting environmental learning with responsibility for their surroundings.
The documented planting output is shown in the 2022 numerical highlight above; longer-term tree survival was not evaluated in the source.

July 2023 / Aquatic activities
Activities at the region’s dams.
The 2023 reports describe fish-release activities at Mezkift and Mashouq dams in the Jazira region. Each activity record reports 2,000 fish at its respective dam in July 2023. The records describe these releases, rather than measured changes in ecosystem condition.
No cumulative fish total or claim of ecological recovery is made here.

2024 / Awareness & community care
Environmental information close to home.
The June–August 2024 collaboration account with IMPACT connects awareness sessions, videos and brochures with community planting and rehabilitation work in Qamishli. Children and adults appear in the description of the awareness activities.
These activities are documented; a measured reduction in waste or pollution is not established by the account.

2026 / Sustainable cultivation
Practical settings for agricultural learning.
The January–July 2026 account of cooperation with GIZ describes demonstration plots at the nursery, learning opportunities for farmers, and awareness sessions on conservation agriculture and disaster risk reduction.
Demonstration sites are reported outputs; improvements in yields, income or water savings would need separate evaluation.
