Warshin is an independent, nonprofit environmental civil society organization, founded in 2019. Our work is rooted in Al-Hasakah Governorate, with a focus on Qamishli and its surrounding communities.

We connect practical conservation with environmental learning: cultivating saplings, caring for shared green spaces, and engaging children, young people and local communities.

Growing local green spaces

The Warshin nursery supports sapling cultivation, greening activities and environmental learning. It connects the care of young trees with the everyday work of looking after local landscapes.

The association’s 2024 activity records describe nursery cultivation and care. Growing saplings in a nursery and planting trees in communities are distinct activities.
