A practical beginning in 2022

Warshin’s activity record describes the establishment of a nursery in the Qamishli countryside in 2022. The site brought together the cultivation of forest and fruit-tree saplings with a well and drip-irrigation network. It provided a practical base for preparing plants and caring for them before their use in local green spaces.

Care behind the green spaces

The early report names cypress, pine, olive, mulberry and pomegranate among the plants associated with the nursery. The 2024 account describes continued cultivation and nursery management. These records concern plants grown or cared for at the nursery; they are distinct from reports of trees planted in schools, villages or urban spaces.

A place connected to community work

The nursery sits within Warshin’s wider environmental work in Qamishli and surrounding communities. It links the everyday tasks of cultivation and irrigation to greening activities and, in later records, opportunities for agricultural learning. No annual production total or tree-survival rate is inferred from these accounts.
