The nursery as a learning setting

The 2026 collaboration account describes a project with GIZ on conservation and sustainable farming methods at Warshin’s nursery. The printed project period is 1 January–30 July 2026. Six agricultural plots are described as demonstration sites for farmers in Qamishli.

Awareness alongside demonstration

The same account describes awareness sessions for local farmers and environmental activists on conservation agriculture and disaster risk reduction. It also links the project to expanding green spaces in Qamishli. The story focuses on these documented activities rather than estimating changes in yields, income or water use.

A link with an established nursery

The nursery in the Qamishli countryside had been established in 2022. Its well and drip-irrigation network are described in the early activity report. The 2026 project account places the demonstration and awareness activities in this nursery setting, linking agricultural learning with a place already used for cultivation.
