In Order to support the environment and As a continuation of the biological cycle in the lakes and dams of northeastern Syria and In purpose of increasing fisheries in the region
Warshin Association for Environment took a step that is the first in the region by cultivating 4,000 fish in Mezgaft and Ma’shuq dams located in the Eastern of Qamishli City-July 2023
The association farmed two thousand fish of local types in each Dam.
It is worth noting that the dams and rivers suffer from dryness in some of them and lack of water in others as a result of cutting off water by the Turkish government .
Plus, the lack of rain also caused a huge environmental crises in the region
Warshin Association seeks to continue such initiatives and activities in order to contribute to helpe the local residents secure part of their living requirements and to guide and educate them about protecting and preserving the environment in light of the danger of global climate change.
